    Default SP5K with a 4-Position Trigger Housing

I am fairly new to the HK world and plan to make my baptism with an SP5K. I would like to drop the existing semi-auto trigger pack into a 4-position trigger housing (just for the authentic look) and add an ambi selector. It doesn't matter to me that the selector would only work in 2 of the positions.

    Is this doable?

Won't work, the housing is different. Ambi selector won't fit SEF housing either.

Nevermind... Forgot the new lower was ambi...

Isn't the SP5k standard with an ambi plastic lower (FBI)? Or would there be some other incompatibility? As in, could the four position plastic be adapted to the SP5k?

It will work fine and I'm doing a bunch up now with the "new" C/P spec.

    Mike,

What do you mean by "new" C/P spec? I've already purchased a 4-position ambi grip frame from HKParts.net. Are you saying that this won't work with the SP5K? The one I purchased is C&P already.

If your housing is not clipped for the new SP5K spec, it will not work
@HKParts.net has new housings coming with proper spec

I wanted the same look. Placed a order with HK parts as soon as I found out my gun was in.
It took about 5 min with a file on the housing. No big deal.

That looks really nice, @Hayhay . Might do the same to mine.
