SP5K Form 1 Question

I am working on a Form 1 for my SP5K. Prior to this all Form 1's I have submitted have been for the AR platform. So my question is regarding "Manufacturer Country". Right after the Form 1 asks for the original manufacturer (HK), it asks for the manufacturer country. Since the SP5K is made in Germany, I was going to put that. But just wanted to double check, that since my trust is now technically the SBR manufacturer, I don't put "USA" instead of Germany. Thanks for your help.

Yes, I used Germany for the country for my USC and it was approved. Also, I used "Heckler and Koch" for the manufacturer even though "HK Sidearms GMBH" is another option on the dropdown list. Anyone use the second option and still get approved?

I have my serial for the SP5K now and I am ready to submit, but it looks like no one had done so yet because "SP5K" is not in the dropdown list yet.

There's an option for "model not listed" that generates a blank spot for you to write in SP5K. Once submitted, it will probably show up on the drop-down menu for the rest of us who are late to the party, lol.

I just got my serial number, but am afraid when I fill out the eforms I will forget something that is printed on the receiver
So germany, length, serial number, Sp5 k, is there anything I am forgetting?
I am going to run up to the office and get that sucker filed tonight!

Got my SN from Mike last night (thanks man!) and am now pending with the ATF as well. Used "SP5K" as model designation. I scrutinized it ad nauseam as its a little unsettling knowing that any errors might be pre-empted from resubmission by 41F.

Now we wait...

I used "SP5K" also.

Did your confirmation email following submitting the eForm come back as PENDING RESEARCH because SP5K was not in the drop down menu? I had to enter it manually when completing my eForm. Unsettling is right, as I have no idea how long it will take them to complete said research.

Put money down on an Omega 9K this morning to go with it. LGS owner said he was working the holiday because he's been overwhelmed with Form 4's.

Something to consider with all the "SP5K" models.
Not to bust any bubbles but if you use "SP5K" as the model it can NEVER
be remarked to "MP5K" or "MP5K-N" if that is your desire.
The model on the Form 1 should be what you want it to be not what it is.
SP5K is great if that IS your intention.

Thanks hk21man. I just changed my form 1 for USC to UMP clone conversion from USC to UMP for field: 4d. Model

I have a question about field: 4h: Additional Description (Include all numbers and other identifying data to include maker's name, city and state which will appear on the firearm) (use additional sheet if necessary)

For 4h, I entered:
1.) engraved top of receiver with:
My Trust
Memphis, TN
2.) remarked model from USC to UMP

But I've read on the net that we should now leave 4h blank unless you want your form denied. Is that true? Seems like helpful information that the ATF would want, and would also help LEO validate the SBR. But logical doesn't have any place with ATF from what I've read and they have no set standards and change rules on the fly. So what are the current rules for 4h? I'm submitting all 24 of my forms on July 12th by mail, so no room for error here.

I have caliber question too please. For field: 4c. Caliber or Gauge
Is it true that some ATF agents are denying proper/correct caliber designations? (not for multi caliber, but single designation for various forms):
9mm
12 gauge
.22 LR
300 BLK
.45 ACP
5.56mm

And will only accept lotto numbers at the moment?
9
12
22
30
45

What's the optimal wording for field: 4i. State Why You Intend To Make Firearm (use additional sheet if necessary)
any lawful purpose

or
all lawful purposes

My exact wording on my ARs has always been: "Any or all lawful purpose(s)". Never had any issues.

Shout out to Mike, he is the man. I know I'm by no means his biggest customer but he spent 15-20 min on the phone with me regarding possible mods to my SP5K. Decided to go with paddle mag release and 3-lug barrel. He's also engraving my trust.

Oh, and I may have ordered a 2nd SP5K

Spoke to a helpful NFA specialist on the phone today for 39 minutes and he was able to address every question I had. I learned that I'll be adding a lot of photographs (must be printed hard copies), and memos. This is regarding the questions I had in this post of this thread.

Question #1.)*Would the aforementioned N/A designation for multi-caliber apply to HK trigger packs/frames such as DLO and LaFrance?

Yes, designate as N/A for caliber because this a conversion device only that does not have a chamber or barrel.

Question #2.)*Regarding a form*1.*4h: Additional Description

This is situational. The ATF agent walked me through the forms that he said it was OK to use additional info on. Everything I entered above for the SBR is to be permitted, and then I wanted additional info for machine guns that would clarify what they are, he told me how to word the entries for 4h and to add memo and photographs.

Question #3.)*For field:*4c. Caliber or Gauge

I was recommended to designate calibers as such because the examiners are entering the caliber only and additional data isn't used nor wanted:
9
12
.22
.45
5.56

Question #4.) I'm told that I must pay transfer tax again using form 4 from my current trust to the new trust.

I spoke to the lady whom I believe actually runs the eForms system this morning and explained the situation many of us were facing, she asked for the model number that was causing the issue and for my submission ID. About two minutes after my call mine got pushed through and said she would make sure the "rest of them" were taken care of. So if it really was me I'm glad I could help fellow members out! :D

I recently submitted a Form 1 and spoke with Mike and Tammy at TSC for some guidance. They both told me to fill 4h with the following: Name of my trust, City and State. So, I did essentially what Neo was told to do:

_____ _____ Trust City State (be sure your State is abbreviated in caps like TN or IN)

I put mine on one line. I have not heard back yet, so I will make the assumption that all is well. I guess we will see.
