Gemtech is hard to deal with directly like Neo stated. They are in no rush to get product out the door even if they have it on the shelf in the next room. If there is one on gunbroker or in a dealers inventory somewhere that is your best bet to get one in a semi timely manor. If you are really in no rush, have your local SOT order one from Gemtech. Might take 6-12 months to get to the dealer and then however long the form 4 takes at that point.(my guess would be 2 years total)

When I called Gemtech about the MK-9K last year, they said 3-lug adapter is only thing on the design that has changed, otherwise the MK-9K made today, is same process as the first one they made.

Makes sense then cause my adapter is definitely shorter.

This is what happens when you dont fully secure the Tri-Lug and it comes undone while on FA fire. carried that sucker ALL the way to the end of the indoor range. Ooops : (
Love the sound from the MK9k and it look great on the MPX with a Tri-Lug adaptor from HKParts.net also. I have found Gemtech awesome to work with so far on a replacement.
You can see the subtle difference in the Tri-Lug adapter on the two MK9K's

I can confirm that. Sent them an email about an AWC MK-9K and they confirmed its the same as the one made by GemTech today.

Nice, I like the looks of that can. I bought the Mk9K from Avguns this morning - he had a couple in stock. Now onto the SP5k. It will be perfect for the SIG and HK once I get it setup! Thanks for all the help, especially in location the can. I was figuring on a longggggggggg wait but it's in stock and one is mine! BTW they had a few more in stock.
