    Default I Think I Want An HK53 in 300BLK

I already own: HK93, G36K, MR556, MR556 10.4", PTR-32PDW, PTR G3K, HK91 & MR762, and a 7.5" AR-15, few other 16" AR-15s. Reason for listing is that I have already suppressed all types of 5.56/308, but they're still on the loud side. I am thinking an 8" in 300BLK suppressed, will sound awesome, and deciding if I want to add an 8" roller-lock platform to my stable. (I have considered cost-effectiveness of just builidng a 300BLK upper for one of my AR SBRs and going that route- but sometimes cost is not as important.)

Thinking it will run me $3,000-3,500 to have one built. Wish PTR would make one for $900 like I paid for my PTR32-PDW, then just slap a stock on it later. :(

I have seen 1 user who posted his DT 300, but do any of the rest of the group own a HK53 of any make, in 300BLK? If so, how does it shoot? Do you shoot it mostly suppressed? Mostly subsonic? Does it handle well? What suppressors are you using? Would you reccomend one?

    Thanks.

Could be done much cheaper if you start with one of these.

Or you could wait for a 300BLK barrel for the MR556 to come out?

My only concern is if the gas system will be in carbine or pistol.

Only issue with that is I have a 10.4" 556 upper that I already spent $$$ on. And to add, it's the same as my 10.4" but a little quieter, and I'd have to pull the barrel on my 16" MR556, which as of now, is unmolested, aside from AAC 51T flash hider. I am thinking the HK53 sorta fills in between my MP5 clones, and the PTRPDW, but I dont know what to expect comparing an suppressed HK53 clone, in 300Blk, to a PTR32-PDW unsupressed.

But I will keep it on my radar. Any idea what retail will be?

There's a 10.4" in 5.56mm USA barrel selling for $590, so my guess about the same.

I have a DT D300 and just recently got my Omega 30 out of jail. Very limited shooting so far, less than 100 rounds for sure. The 147 grain supersonic Gemtechs cycled the gun on semi-auto with the Omega and on full auto without it. For some reason I didn't try the combination together. The 208 gr sub-sonic Hornadays did not even extract the spent case. I was hoping for better results with the Hornadays. Have some work to do to sort it out. Not in a big hurry...

Disappointing. Was thinking a lightweight 7.62 can, semi-dedicated would be perfect, but not like you can swap LPs and buffer springs like other platforms.
