Default UMP / USC magazine loaders - Modifying a 45 loader to work on a 40 cal magazine

Trying to figure out what is out there for magazine loaders / loading tools for the UMP. I see that HK Parts and GB and various other places sell an HK made one. I see HK Parts lists it as being for a 45 ACP magazine. They don't list one as being for a 40 cal.

I also see other sellers that list what appears to be the same loader but listed as for a 40 Cal, or 40 Cal and 45 ACP. Am I correct in my belief that the 45 loader and the 40 Cal loader are identical and one and the same item?

Also, is there anything else out there besides that one? Searching Google revealed nothing else.

    Thanks in advance!

Nope, the HK one is the only one (and still worth it). I have never tried using it on a 40, but I know it has to be modified to work with a 9mm.
One day Buddah was sitting under a tree.
A knight walked up and said: "You look like a Pig."
Buddah replied: "And you look like a god."
The knight, obviously puzzled asked: "What makes you say that?"
Buddah replied: "My son, we see in others what we see in ourselves."

I think the HK one works great. Very fast once you get a good rhythm.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Thanks! I won't bother hunting for anything but an HK one then.

So to clarify... you are using yours on a 40 cal then?

No. 45. I believe it will work the same on 40.

It won’t work on 40 it needs to be shaved down to fit.

The 40 mags are a larger dimension than 45 mags? How could that be?

The plastic nub that pushed the bullet down is too wide and needs to be shaved. The feed lips are wider on 45 than 40.
