Default Will a UMP 45 can fit on HKParts 9mm coversion barrel?

Specifically the threaded, flanged 9mm barrel included in this kit??

Given all of the fitment issues with those cans and even factory barrels in .45, I'm sure no one can say with 100 certainty, but is there any reason it absolutely wouldn't?

I dont know the answer to your specific question. However, after dealing with HKParts' fitment issues on their "3-lug" .45ACP barrel, I am going to guess the answer is no. Its probably "cosmetic" and you're really just meant to use the 1/2x28 threads.

If the can has the propriety HK slot lock - no.

I'm not sure what you're referring to... the can is a Gemtech UMP 45.

    What's the "slot lock"?

If that's the can, then he is talking about the gate that locks behind the flange of a factory UMP barrel.

You might have to email/call HKParts and ask. *IF* you order one, and it doesn't fit, you can return it for 100% store-credit, or you take a hit and there's a 20% restock fee.

    Yep, that's the can.

I emailed HKParts last week, but they never responded.

The whole point of this is I was thinking about going to 9mm permanently for my UMP conversion for cost and having to stock less .45, but if it turns the can into a paperweight then I don't think it will be worth it.

Personally, I think the UMP was meant to be .45 but thats just me and with 4 MP5 guns in 9mm, I dont see the appeal of a 9mm UMP.

Will not work on the barrel you asked about.
Only works on factory HK or same spec .45 barrel.

I had a Raptor already so switched my UMP to 9mm with a 3 lug barrel. I has my 45 barrel end threaded for a 45ACP pistol can I had.
