I have to wonder, why did it take years? Is TSC backed up that far?

My own 33k is a clone with a cut down Malay barrel but it's a shooter and one of my favorites. Back in the day when I could see it was a sub 1 MOA shooter with Black Hills moly 50gr reloads. Crazy, I agree.
Might not do that any longer as once the F1 was approved I removed the IGF 5 inch hider.
That was a HK93, it took me years to find a new factory German HK33K barrel. Mike did the job in just under 2 months.

Lucky bum! I did not see any new 33k barrels except for the one sold by a Forum member a year or two ago, probably the one you got. If yes, nice find! Mike did mine on a used 178 barrel and front end from Gatewood. Completed in a few months and workmanship is perfect.

Very nice sbr--question for you...was the barrel in the original 93 a 1/12 twist? I ask because based on the magwell markings it looks like a later model, a number of which had 1/7 twist. I looked long and hard for a new HK33k barrel and couldn't find one, but did find a 1/7 twist HK93, which I had Mike convert to a HK33k with the factory 1/7 twist barrel. I would have much preferred a new factory HK33k barrel though. It seemed to be unobtainium, though.

I found and bought another NIB HK93 with a 1/7 barrel I am currently sitting on and I can't decide if I should send it to Mike to be converted or keep it as it (I am a one-is-none and two-is-one kind of guy).

    Beautiful, beautiful gun--

The balance on a 33k is just about perfect to me.

I’d assume you already have a can, if not, they suppress very well.

    Nice piece

I'd convert it personally or find a used one to convert as it doesn't need to be a perfect gun since it will be refinished. I think the 33k feels a lot better than the full size personally.

I just purchased a Zenith Z43P that's going to be my shooter gun and will put a M4-2000 on it. Now if the NFA examiners will just go back to work and process my Qualified Sear form I'll be happy.

Awesome! You really did it right to wait until you found the barrel you wanted. Shes a beaut!

Very nice, and all original. It can be a pain in the shoulder on the 91, but I love the old a3 stock on the 33/93.
