    Default Suppressor Recommendations for VP9

    Hi:

I'm looking to buy a suppressor for my VP9. I shoot lots of NATO 9mm and +P loads, hoping to find a suppressor that performs really well in reducing sound and is also easy to clean and maintain.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    Thanks.

TarHeel State Firearms has the B&T ImpulseII that is HK marked. It’s the Suppressor that HK approves for the pistol. They are the only ones I could find with it in stock and I believe the HK marked version are no longer being manufactured. In addition, I could not find an unmarked version anywhere.

They were great to deal with. BATFE transfer between SOTs took a few days and my guy had it within a week.

While a lot of people like the raised sights, they are not necessary as your brain tends to completes the sight picture even with the front sight lower than the Suppressor edge.

You need to practice but it easy peasie lemon squeezie!

The SilencerCo Octane 9 HD works well.

I asked as which set is installed on the pistol will dictate my answer on which I would recommend. This is a new poster and I do not have a baseline and trying to establish a rough one beforehand. If the sights were low I would actually suggest the Dead Air Odessa 9. If the sights were raised then that opens it up to quite a bit more. Yes it is easy to shoot in the manner in which you describe as I use the low sights with an SiCo Osprey quite easily, but inexperienced/novice shooters have always complained and get stuck on the obstructed sights even if slightly. The Odessa skips this and quite nicely. No need to work harder if it can be done smarter.

I have a liberty Mystic X. It's quiet but huge. It's definitely a pcc can more than a hg can.

I got to shoot a rugged Obsidian lately. I'd get that. The modualr is nice. Real nice. If I had the opportunity I'd get an Obsidian 45. But I don't think mine would come back before they are banned in VA, which is coming.

Does it need to be 9mm or could you also make use of a .45 can?

I'd look into the Dead Air Odessa, SiCo Omega 9k, Rugged Obsidian (available in 9mm and .45), AAC TiRant, an CGS Mod9.
