Default Does changing the Locking Piece change the Bolt Gap (10mm)?

I most always run the Hi impulse LP in my CA89-10. I put in the Lo LP and the BG increased by .10mm. Is this normal?

I do not believe so. The rollers change the gap. Or at least that is how the system is designed.

Wondering what happened to your posts???

That’s exactly my understanding. I will install the Lo LP again & re-check.

Mike at TSC explained it shouldn’t, but it might. That’s why he suggested I buy the 80 degree locking piece (if that’s the one I planned to use) to go along with the B&T barrel install for my Sp5k.

Did Mike explain what could cause it? A worn LP? Worn bolt?

Good link posted by @darkness on another thread. Scroll down to Bolt Gap.

    https://www.hkpro.com/forum/attachme...nstruction.pdf

Bob Schultz said if the gap decreases, it is generally wear to those three points outlined in the link. However, he said changing out the LP or rollers is essentially delaying the eventual issue, the trunion is wearing and will need to be replaced.

No, and I got the impression it was a manufacturing variance as my Sp5k has a very low round count.

I don't think so. It's the trunion that wears.

Especially if he is running German rollers and LP in a gun with a clone trunion.
