    Default Q: How to use AR stocks with HK21/23E / MM21/23E ?

    Hi Guys,

Is there an off the shelf solution to use mil-spec AR stocks with the 21E/23e family of guns?
Seems like you would need a 21e/23e backplate assembly that had been modified to accept a mil-spec buffer tube with an HK 21e/23e buffer assembly?

This thread has pics of a Magpul UBR stock on a 23e I'd like to duplicate:

How about one of the backplate adapters PTR uses on pistols?

Hmmm, that PTR backplate might work if you drilled it out to accept a 21e/23e buffer (this: https://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/H...N-219p5633.htm )

If the buffer would fit inside the AR buffertube to begin with, you should be all set. But, I'm speculating

I think the OD of the 21 buffer is .9", ID of a milspec tube is a bit bigger, ~.95

he prob won't as he only has a few made at a time and you have to do some modding to the stock. His newer version is better than the old one. Just buy a UBR and send it to him. I prefer the gen 1 as they are aluminium vs the newer gen 2s with plastic locking tabs

But they are the bomb. I have two of them and will be adding another to my 21a1.

dont use the AR stock adapter posted above on a 21/23e. The TSC UBR mod has a great cheakweld, a adapter backplate does not and your face will get beat up on the stock over the buffer tube.
