Yeah, what's the deal with Lafrance boxes?

And wasn't there a member on this website that bought several of them recently?

His name was 'Neo' or something, very detailed in his posting of forms filed, weapons received, etc. etc.

But no one really has answered the question to the downside of a LaFrance box and I am curious now.

Yeah...Neo Geo is/was his name and he had some really detailed posts. I believe he mentioned receiving a large inheritance from his father and investing in La France trigger packs and Bitcoin.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the LaFrance packs as a whole.

I'm in the market for a sear soon. But I think anyone getting into the game now is objectively making a dumb financial decision. That includes me.
Absolutely. Guns aren't and never will be a true "investment" so don't use that as your reasoning ever. However, they hold value a hell of a lot better than most "hobby items" if you could call it that.

can anyone tell me what happened to SEAR prices in 2007/2008 when the stock market lost half? From 12k to 6k?

If it ever happens again, what should we look for?

    thx

I can’t recall, but I think the sear market was soft in the 2012-2014 timeframe, but the bottom didn’t fall out. Prior to 2007/2008 lots of guys were refinancing their mortgages and cashing out to buy sears. Obviously that came to an abrupt halt. I don’t recall any significant decline. Generally, as clones improved and multiplied over the years, so has demand for sears.

I picked up two sears during the 08-09 financial crisis... one for $10k and the other $10.5k. I can't recall what they were selling for prior, but I want to say around $16k
