    Default MP5SD-N Markings?

So I found a deal on a KAC MP5SD can, which means I'll be building an SD. Has anyone seen a factory MP5SD Navy marked MP5SD-N? As in the top stampings, I've seen a ton of MP5SD, but haven't seen MP5SD-N

It would seem to make sense that they would add the N, the navy models of the full size and K were marked MP5-N and MP5K-N respectively but I wanted to make sure before I filed paperwork and had TSC remark a HK94.

    Edit:

    I have only seen 1 example of a factory, MP5SD-N (.40 S&W):

    HK MP5SD-N/40

    (IK) 69-99621 (HK/?) (“white/red-1/red-7” bullet pictogram lower)(MG/post-86)

    - left receiver (Cal. .40 S&W)
    - right receiver (?)
    - top receiver (left- HK MP5SD-N/40; right- serial number IK)

Here are the various MP5 receiver markings and/or dates that I have seen to fill in the ?'s:

    left receiver

    Cal. 9mmx19

    right receiver

    1989

    Made in W-Germany
    HK Inc.
    Sterling VA

    1991-1998

    Made in Germany
    HK Inc.
    Sterling VA

    Heckler & Koch Defense Inc

I believe that a few of our builders have the exact markings for certain dates.

Not sure if the link will work but check out Small Arms Review Feb 1999 Guide to HK Machine Guns Part 1 - the articles are on line and searchable - great resource. Parts 2 and 3 are very cool too. Many thanks to Dan S. & co for putting this on line:

I expect to handle a new production MP5SD-N soon. Could take a few months to get here. I'll take photos.

That would be fantastic. Is it shipping from H&K with the KAC can?

I'll have to ask on that one. Not sure if it was ordered with 3 or 4 position either. We'll see soon enough.
