Why is a mp5 full conversion double push pin worth $8,000+ more than a simple shelf conversion ?

    Basic mp5 rr $21-23,000
    Full conversion $28-31,000

The cost of the full conversion can’t cost $8,000. Why wouldn’t you convert every shelf gun to make $6,000 profit

I was going to buy a shelf gun but got a deal on a full conversion. I’m trying to learn why such a high premium for full conversions.

Are you asking the price difference between a shelf gun and double push pin? The double push pin must be pre-86. Market determines the price regarding the other items you mentioned.

educate me on what im missing?

shelf guns are usually semi by design + a sear that makes them f/a. Usually they have a married sear which makes them less desirable because you have a bastard design without the ability to move the sear.
rr just use a uncut f/a trigger box and 2 pins and is as close to a real mp5 as you can get as a civi

also RR haven't been made since 86

So if I had a basic conversion I couldn’t pay $2,000 to upgrade it into a full conversion? Do all the shelf guns have married sears ?

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is an “rr”?
Is it a registered sear or trigger pack?

Registered receiver. Not just a sear or trigger pack. It is a full auto receiver. It can use unmodified lowers and other MP5 parts straight from the bag.
