Default HK MP5 Full Auto Pre 86 | Help Identify/Confirm

Hi all, could I get some assistance and confirming this is the real deal. I'm told it is, but I am having trouble identifying it fully. So far I think that the date code indicates 1986. One person I was talking with mention that he thinks is is a KE-94 which is not pre-ban but I'm pretty sure this one is. What identifies the KE-94 and KE94RS??

Here are some pics of it.

Guess I'll add pics after I post 5 times.
    What is SN?

KE means Kelly Enterprises, so it is not HK, nor is it pre-86.

sorry to add confusion perhaps the person I spoke to originally about this wasn't positive what he was looking at. It is stamped HK MP5 on the top and the serial number is 9254

i'm just speaking on something i heard prior and NOT and expert but i'm pretty sure i was told at some point in the past that there are not any transferable MP5's in the NFA registry.

there are trigger packs and sears that are used in them but no actual OEM HK MP5s other than dealer samples that are transferable. i could one wrong though.

There are a number of hk94's and sp89's that were converted to dual push pin so they are identical to the real mp5 and K guns. Some were remarked, some were after the fact. So its possible it might say HK MP5 and be transferable and be one of them. Should have some engraving elsewhere saying who did it(usually on the rear tang although some marked on the bottom of the receiver right in front of the magwell).

As far as real factory mp5's that are transferable its possible some got in before the 68 ban and are transferable. I've heard rumors about it but have never seen one come up for sale. Like you though I'm not an expert in the area.

Edit: It could be a transferable sear or pack married to a hk94 that has been remarked or a registered receiver that has been remarked but still has the semi shelf with a conversion device in it. A lot of people would just call them a transferable mp5 as well.

I have heard there are less than 5 Pre-68's out there on the Registry, I have never seen one for sale but did talk with one Old Timer who had seen one many years ago.........

    Welcome to the site!!!
Based on the SN and range (9254 would be an IG = 1986), sounds like a transferable (converted and restamped) HK94.
Pictures (when available) and paperwork (how it was registered) would be great.

All registered receiver full auto HK MP5s/94s would have serial numbers that date no later than '86. My Qualified RRPP MP5SD has s/n 80XX:

As an aside; it pays to have an FFL & SOT as I can possess a real German made HK MP5SD suppressor for use with my Qualified SD. I can even keep it should I give up my licenses. Ain't that interesting?

Here it is with the Qualified made suppressor:

(the other stuff show are the take down tools for the Qualified suppressor)
