Why would it fit a PTR perfectly but need fitted to an HK91?

I don't "run" my guns or "run" anything on them. Likewise, none of my guns are "platforms". I hold them up, not the other way around.

Heck if I know. All I know is that it fit on the PRT91 perfectly. I could not get it to lock on the HK91 that I have. I dont know if this was because of the HK91.

You bought this from RobertRTG, yes? Or got it with the rifle?

I bought one just like it. I eventually sent it back to RobertRTG.

I exchanged several emails with RTG and he explained that you need to 'trim' a small amount of the mount and it will fit. That little black plastic cover pulls right off. You need to get your Dremel out and remove a very thin layer on the bottom of where that red circle is. THEN it will fit. Very little work and very easy to accomplish - to see if it WILL fit your HK 91, remove the rear barrel sight (temporarily) and I'll bet it fits.

Just replace the rear barrel sight, trim the bottom of that mount and you CAN use it on your HK 91.
