Excellent writeup! I was actually looking at a used USP at a show a few weeks ago and decided that I did not know enough about the platform to commit to a purchase.

    Now I know! THANKS!

Great thread, should be a sticky! :P

With regards to the size of the USP being detrimental to EDC conceal carry: yes, there is merit in the argument, but not that much. I am 1.71m (5'7") tall and weigh about 65kg (143lbs?), so I am not a big guy. I EDC a USP9 full size in a CompTac Minotaur IWB, and my lifestyle does not always allow for casual clothing. Mostly I dress relatively smart. I have been concealing successfully in public for just under 2 years now and haven't been made out once.

Is it comfortable? No, but you get used to it. Is it easy to conceal? Not at first, but you'll find a system of carry that works for you.

If you are a prospective USP buyer do not let the size of the pistol put you off it.

This was very informative. Such a great gun to own, I love my USP compact 9mm. I just got my match trigger in the mail and I can't wait to have it installed.

    Good morning!

On the USP Match pistols; what is the correct date code window of their production? Are faux Match pistols common?

I've found an alleged USP9Match for sale locally, but the price is REALLY low for estimated valuation. TIA...

Great information! Thought I was losing my mind with my HK P2000. I was missing low left all day long yesterday! This was greatly beneficial in explaining my losses low. I wonder if missing left was due to my trigger pull in DA mode? Wish I could lighten the DA trigger somewhat on a DA/SA P 2000!
