If I'm not mistaken, all of the slots available have been filled. [email protected] This is the email for Joel the organizer and he would be able to say for sure.

Here is the flier that was sent out.

    Black Creek Conservation Club
Eleventh Annual Michigan State Subgun Competition
Black Creek Conservation Club is sponsoring the eleventh annual Michigan State subgun competition in Mt. Pleasant Michigan Saturday August 8, 2020. The cost is $45 per shooter per session. The match will be limited to forty (40) shooters for the morning session and forty (40) shooters for the afternoon session. Lunch and water are included. All proceeds go to the Black Creek Conservation Club. Your completed registration form and full payment secure you a spot. No refunds after July 1, 2020. No walk-on registration allowed. Spectators are welcome but they will need eye & ear protection and must sign the waiver. If they want to eat lunch with us there is a $10 charge to be paid at sign-in.
There will be three full-auto subgun classes available: a 30-round capacity class for iron sight; a 30-round capacity class for optics; and “unlimited class” with no mag capacity limitation shooting optics or irons – your choice. You may only shoot two classes; subgun shooters will pick which two of the three subgun classes they want to shoot. There will be a mandatory range safety briefing at 0830. If you do not attend the briefing, you will not be allowed to shoot, and no refund will be given. Eye and hearing protection must always be worn during the shoot except during lunch.

There will be five stages per session including a shoot house. It is suggested that you bring around 1000 rounds and 4-5 magazines. Only straight-wall pistol calibers of .380 and above are permitted. Armor piercing, incendiary, tracer, exploding, multiple projectile, steel core or steel jacket are not allowed. Plan on bringing a case or sling to carry the weapon from stage to stage. Tie-wraps for securing the weapon “safe” will be provided.

Upon arrival, please check-in at registration and squad-up. Squads must be equal in number of shooters.

A signed liability waiver will be required. Standard Knob Creek subgun competition rules will apply. A copy of the rules will be sent upon request and will be available on site.

The range will be “cold” for the duration of the shoot. No handling of loaded firearms is permitted unless you are the shooter at a stage with a RO present. The Club grounds are closed to all shooters on Friday as RO’s and Club members are doing set-up. No sight-ins will be allowed.

The address is Isabella County, 2643 S. Chippewa Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858 for those needing to fill-out 5320’s.

There are numerous motels in the area plus a casino. Google will be your friend in getting accommodations.

For the Michigan match, I know shooters come from all over to include Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Connecticut, Wisconsin, and Ohio. I may have left off a couple of States.

At the Ohio match, they did have one class of PCC shooters in addition to SMG (Optics, Irons, and Unlimited classes).

Then on to Knob Creek in October for the Subgun Match.
I shot the Knob Creek SMG match probably 18 years ago. I never liked it because they used stopwatches and didn't stop the watch until the pepper poppers HIT THE GROUND. Very subjective, and the locals always seemed to edge out the competition. :(

I'm sure a lot has changed in the past 18 years, they use electronic timers these days . Seriously though, the course always has something challenging about it, and considering you need to carry about 300 rounds (or more) on you at the start of the buzzer, the prepared shooter won't run out of ammo. I've been shooting and ROing at the match for the past eight years and the locals don't have an advantage. Some really good shooters come from Florida, Texas, Ohio, Arizona, and Michigan, to name a few.
You may want to give it another try.
