    Very informative for a newbie like me. I am in the process of buying my first gun and it got to be a HK45

    Thanks. I wonder if most non-hk owners know that it's actually pronounced "coke."

    Actually it is pronounced "Koch"...it has a CH...like in "Loch"..."flach"..."Dach"..."Krach"..."Pech".. .or like in "Sachen"..."Lachen"..."machen"...

    But anyway...nice thread!

    That's the story I'm going with. A gun could depreciate in value if the pronunciation of Koch is the same as "Loch" and you have to start referring to it as your 'Heckler & Cock'...
