Default HK rear sight bearing stuck!

I got a used HK rear sight from a kit and found the ball bearing is stuck in the rear sight, I have needle nose pliers but it's really stuck in there, even a bit deformed

Any way to get it out? Already tried oil and freezer

Did you try penetrating oil or lube type oil? A lot of the surplus sights I have seen had grease internally, which had dried out. Penetrating oil would tend to break up the grease. Good luck with the rear sight project.

Scott: I tried WD40, anything in particular you find works better?

WD40 has never really worked well for me with old grease. A spray penetrating oil like "Blast" has worked for me. Or you might try something like Brake Clean.

Well the problem is that ball isn't as spherical anymore and it takes a lot of strength to rotate the sight drum, I need to stick a small hex key throughout holes to turn it like a lever , it's that tight :( not good in a match

    Ok, I got it working!!

Did not get the ball bearing out though I found the solution to getbit to turn again is to put a bit of grease up against the stuck ball bearing and it turns now.

I did try that but no luck. Also tried pressured water too

Seems like adding grease works but still could not get it out
