Default New to H&K, not new to guns!

    Howdy,

Today I purchased a POF MP5 Full Size. I'm planning on decking it out with legit parts, starting with a new trigger housing (Probably a Navy SEF)! I am also about to purchase a USP. Very excited to get into H&K. The USP is pretty much exactly how I want it sans threaded barrel. And as for the MP5, the next thing on the list is the classic Surefire 628, pending I can find one for a reasonable price.

I've been shooting for over 20 years, and have been an instructor for around 5, previously an RSO at a somewhat large and busy range in a city here. Despite years of lusting over client's and customer's USP's, MP5's, MK23's, G3's, CETME's, other roller locks and more I actually never bought anything H&K or related. Until now.

When I was a kid my uncle had the H&K 94 with the ported 16.5" barrel (like the one in They Live), between that and seeing the ads in SoF for the P7 and G3, then later on the various H&K appearance in Film (again They Live, Die Hard of course, etc) and video games (Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 - MK23 & USP, Parasite Eve 2 - MP5, Resident Evil 2 - VP70) I always had an eye for the H&K stuff.

Happy to finally take the leap in.

Now, where's a good place to get a spare extractor and some springs?

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on the acquisition(s)--- you will not be disappointed in the USP!!!
For parts, check out the Supporting Vendor section (below) for parts and prices (hold off on HK Parts--- having difficulty with the CC system).
The "ported" barrel on the HK94 was actually a slip-over barrel shroud with front grip.

    hessikin,

I'll add my welcome to the forum as well.

You have embarked on the Red & Black road. It's a long road that will occasionally empty your wallet but in the end you have an excellent collection of HK firearms

Again, welcome to the HK Enablers forum.

Welcome. The USP is a great line of pistols. Check out an Expert if you can. The Match trigger and barrel fitted to the slide are nice features.

No way. I was probably 9 or 10 the last time I shot it. I always thought it was the barrel itself as a kid haha.

I don't suppose there is anywhere to pick up a reproduction of something like that? The shroud I mean.

Thank you! I do foresee an MK23 and perhaps a VP70Z at some point in my future.

I've shot the Expert, Match, and Compact. Shot the 9, 40, and 45 full size as well. The Expert is a really nice gun.
