Welcome to the site--- here are some changes:
Stumbled upon a sp5 video and suddenly I am wanting to get my hands on one of those and a USP 9.
Any tips on buying a USP 9?
Xmas is going to be good this year and things will be interesting at shot show.
Welcome. The HK bug is for real. I went through the same process as you a few months ago. Look out for deals from forum members, local dealers that are authorized HK distributors, and there is always gunbroker too. Good luck in the hunt!
Welcome to the site. Get the USP9T instead, you'll have the match trigger installed already. Also, make sure is the USP9T instead of the USP9SD.
Thank you for the warm welcome and tips!
I jumped on a NIB (from buds) "USP 9 9MM FS 10RD Flat Dark Earth CA" Model: 81000355. Does anyone know what the FS means?
I think this fde model was released in 2015 but I forget where I read that or if that is even correct..If anyone knows more about it feel free to give me the details. I'm a HK noob for sure.
Looks like it will be almost $900 out the door all said and done after the transfer.
The USP9T would be ideal. Unfortunately I am currently living in Colorado for school so I believe this was a good choice since I cant have a USP9T shipped here because of the 15 round mags...
I guess I can get a threaded barrel and upgraded trigger for this one.
Also I'm left handed so I will be wanting the safety on the right side of the gun and Id actually prefer to make it V4 if possible(decocker only right side of gun). I still need to read into all of this. Exciting stuff.

I'm not certain but they might sell the USP9T in 10 rounds configuration.
Otherwise you'll spend $100 for the match trigger then another $150 or so for the threaded barrel which it will equal to the same price as the USP9T. If you end up selling it the tactical will hold it's value more.
Man it’s a scary bug to have. I started with P2000sk and now the collection grew to 9 HKs with the zenith mp5 being the exception.
My fav shooting pistol is the MK 23.
If you want a USP 9 then look at an Expert. The Match trigger is nicer than a standard USP and the barrel is fitted to the slide. You also get target sights and a longer sight radius. Use the advanced search function on the page to read about the Expert and I think most if not all the feedback is positive.
