Default New guy. Recovering Sig whore

Howdy all. New to roller locks. Sig guy at heart as I love thier handguns, but my MPX nightmare led to find something more expensive to throw my money at. Own two clones, Bobcat PDW, and a TPM built 5/10. Gathering parts for a 3rd build. Oh, almost forgot, I also have a C308, one of the newer ones.

    Rdrdr90,
Welcome to the Red & Black road. It's a long journey and along the way you will empty your wallet but you end up with a nice collection of HK firearms that will make you smile.

And don't worry. Once you have completely accepted the HK as your firearm, you will have replaced all the 'other' brands with all HK's. That how it happens.

Again, welcome to the HK ENABLERS forum. I hope you like it here.

And just to give you an idea, here is one of my HK91's all dressed up. HK are kinda like the Barbie of fireams, you can dress them up or just take them out the way the come.

    Welcome,
On the Sig handgun thing, I'm at 5 (for now) and no regrets.

You've reached a good place for info on the roller locks.

Thanks all. I have the ultimate HK pimp as a good friend and he has been trying to get me to the dark side for years.

Regarding the MPX nightmare....what a POS. I have a very early Gen 2 (8” barrel, factory carbon fiber hand guard) which means there are several inherent design flaws that they had not ironed out yet. Gen 1’s just run. No issues, except they are way over gassed to compensate for other flaws. The Gen 2’s supposedly fixed those issues. Yeeeah. Mine also has the old fixed operating rod ( the new ones articulate). It never, ever, ran right with the 8” barrel. I have two 4” barrels, one tru-lugged one factory with bird cage. Both have opened up gas ports. Both run fine....except the tri-lug after 3 mags suppressed and it just won’t run. I have been battling this thing for years. Regardless the gun needs to be kept really wet with lube or it is unreliable. That is why it gunks up so quickly with the can. My clone K is just a better wep. It runs like a sewing machine. Don’t even get me started on the “Multi-Caliber” lie that is stamped righ on the MPX. That’s the readers digest version.

The MPX isn’t even a good value. The Lancer made mags that it uses in polymer.....Sig wants more $$$ for them than steel MP5 mags.

I'd say anything that doesn't run isn't a good value. I'm not even wild about getting something like that as a parts donor or passing along on to someone else.
