Hi all, Joe here! New member! I land on this forum all the time when asking the internet questions but haven't signed up till now. I am a proud new owner of a small HK collection. The USC is for the obvious UMP conversion although I have to say... I love shooting it as it is. Hopefully the picture appears on the thread. Talk to you all soon!

    CasualJL,

Welcome to the Red & Black road. It's a long journey and along the way you will empty your wallet. But you end up with a nice collection of HK firearms that will cause you to smile.

    Is that UMP in 9, 10, 40, or 45?

Nice start on a collection FOR SURE.

Again, welcome to the HK ENABLERS forum!

Thanks! My wallet is most certainly much lighter now.

I will keep the UMP (parts already obtained) as a 45.
The conversion is on pause because I will be BRIEFLY moving to NJ :(
But as soon as I escape I will SBR it and complete the conversion.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I am currently in Pittsburgh and a place called Allegheny Arms is the only one in the area that does the conversion... the problem is that their smith shop is currently closed due to the virus. I also only realized that I cannot do the conversion just yet as I plan on moving in with a friend in NJ for a few months while I search for a house in East PA.... and NJ will have nothing to do with a folding stock let alone a SBR. So once I am back in PA (east now) I will have to find a place that will do it.

I hear Tommy Bostic is the one you really want to do it when youre ready.
Eventually I will probably get a kit and send it to him... if funds ever get freed up.
If I may... just make sure they have a really good reputation for this type of conversation. Just saying.

I live a few miles away from Allegheny Arms, great shop and their owner Josh is very helpful. He knows I'm an HK fan and has asked me a couple of times when a UMP is next. Sad to hear that you'll be stuck in no fun New Jersey for a bit. I guess you'll have to sell off your 30 round mags and grab some 10 rounders for when you're in NJ.
