    Default MR556 Barrel Uninstall

    HK Members:

    Iíve searched and read through the posts but does anyone have any tips/tricks for uninstalling the barrel?

    The barrel nut isnít the issue. Itís the barrel to receiver.

    Much appreciated with any help.

    Iíve never removed an mr556 barrel but done quite a few hk416 barrels. After the barrel nut is removed...every barrel Iíve ever removed just pulled straight out with little effort by hand.

    Same

    With thermal fits and when nothing works, an appropriately sized dowel or PVC can work provided you have a good clamshell to hold the upper steady and a buddy to hold on to the barrel.
