Default G3 slim black handguard date code

Hello everyone, first post here and hopefully a soon to be owner of an HK91. I wanted to put a black slim handguard on the 91 when I got a hold of it, so I bought one on an auction site. The thing that confuses me is that when I looked up date codes, it says J is reserved for magazines, but the code on the handguard reads 2JA. Could this be from a different country other than Germany?

    Thanks.

It is most likely 2IA which would be from 1980. Post a pic of the hand guard and the date code and we can verify for you

Never seen a triple stamped handguard?

    Last one is definitely 2JA.

JA = 1990 (J = 9 on parts)--- stampings appear to be (in order from first to last) 1JJ, 4IA (most plausible for a slimline handguard), and 2JA--- may be a refurbish, as I have never seen a triple (or double) stamp either!!!
