    ^this.

Id hold the rifle. Prices only keep going up. I think your getting rilped off making that trade, but too each their own.

Would you give up an MR556 A1 to fund a SP5K?

For a 9mm pistol that weighs 4 and half pounds , has to be shot with 2 hands , has about a 7 pound mushy break , takes 60 dollar mags , and costs about 2, 500 bucks ? No .

    Two things.

    1. Start saving money consistently and you'll get there in no time.

    2. Never, and I mean never sell a rifle unless you absolutely have to.

Normally, I'm all about do what you like, but honestly with the political climate and what the MR556 offers, you'd lose in that deal.

I agree with Navyman 100%, in this climate the MR will be worth much more if anything were to happen. Not only that, its a great rifle in general, as I myself have been on the hunt for over a year, and finally got one a great price from a member here.

    I remember $300 AK's selling for 1500 during the last panic, and $500 AR's getting $2,000.

Save for the SP5K and have both!

Am not prying about what else you may have, but if that is your only rifle, noooo. Keep that - save your pennies, nickels, dimes & quarters for the other. You also have to ask yourself about the sort of threat matrix (security situation) in your area and where a rifle would fit in. Things are getting ugly all around, some areas worse than others.
Where did this concept of “understanding” the grievances of evil originate?

Agreed--- you will regret getting rid of the MR556A1, especially if it has the rail system!!!

I'm in the minority it seems, but I'd sell the MR556 to get the sp5k, provided you have another 556 rifle or two already!
