That's true. The purity laws certainly limited beer development in Germany, but inside the restraints of the purity laws, the Germans hit it out of the park.

Exactly, that's so perfidious. We Germans are forced to pay for this bullshit. We must fund our own disinformation.

But in the end she is sweet enough for me to enjoy retraining her. :)

No, no, no. It's very far from truth.

One of my favorite German songs: The song is from 1984. In the video, Nena reperformed it when she was 50 years old:

This is German language. The lyrics of the song are great, too. I try to translate the beginning:

    Falling through space and time
    To infinity
    Moths fly into light
    Just like you and me

Somehow, sometime, somewhere the future starts
    I don't wait long
    Love is made of courage
    Don't think long
    We ride on our firebikes
To the future through the night
    ...
And in German, it even rhymes.

    PS:
As German-English cooperation: youtube.com/watch?v=pJWzPz0vdqA. I like it very much.

Exhibit D in the case of pointing handguns directly at your face being a German thing:

The title of the chapter is even The handling of weapons and ammunition.

    @Clausewitz
But how do you like Nena's song? Do you understand the German lyrics when you hear her singing?

Funny video. I like it. When he's shouting in German, it's very well understandable for me (although it does not sound very sweet). But when he's shouting in English, my German ears understand only half of it.

PS: Meanwhile I've heard it three times and understand 3/4 of it. My ears had to adjust.
