    I appreciate that, thank you.
Sometimes things donít always go according to plan. The little trinket box I made out of a magazine actually has three layers of the veneer on the bottom. I was going to do a high gloss clear coat and the finish didnít turn out right on the bottom piece, that was strictly my fault. I cut a second piece for the bottom and glued it in and put a small weight on it to hold it in place. The next morning excited to do the finishing touches I found the moisture in the glue caused my steel weight to slightly rust and stain the veneer. Again that was my fault I shouldíve put a piece of waxed paper down first.
So I had to cut a third layer of veneer. All in all if that one didnít go right you wouldnít be seeing pictures of it. With the amount of epoxy I used on three layers of veneer there was no way that I couldíve gotten it out to start over without destroying the magazine.

Well you got that right, I wish I owned one too. This stock was done with an old buffalo drill press and some end mills.
As most are probably aware milling is not recommended and hard on a drill press, a lot of my cuts were very light so it took quite a while to do.

I had a chance to buy a small Atlas mill about a year and a half ago, she was a beauty and very well-maintained. The person partially handling the sale for the owner had kinda sold it to one of his buddies even though I had a respected first place in line.

Believe it or not the rear sight was cut with a 4 inch cut off wheel and finished with hand files, same with the flash hider.
    This is the waste half.
