HK has not been shy about culling their weapons suite for guns that aren't economically viable to them. IF...and that's a big IF, you might see some other variants become like the Expert/Elite and appear only in limited runs...or shrink their caliber selection.

Lt. Dan would not approve of this at all.

Look up Lightweight Small Arms Technologies on YouTube. Find the video named "NEW: Textron Systems - Lightweight Small Arms Technologies [720p] 2016 | HD" and go to 1:25.

Cool thanks! So the projectile is completely encased in the polymer casing? Interesting. In that video they briefly talk about caseless ammunition. I assume then, like with HK’s failed offering from long ago, the case IS the propellant. I wonder if they were able to solve the problems that kept the concept from taking off.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

CT is not the same thing as caseless

I think caseless is an offshoot of the CT ammo. The program with HK is using the plastic-cased CT ammo.
