Default A3 Retractible stock question - different locking points.

    Hello all,

I acquired several A3 stocks along with some other parts I bought in bulk. One of the stocks was slightly different though and I thought I'd ask if someone might know if it was for a different weapon or something.

Most of the stocks i have are date code IS but this one was IO on the buttplate as well as the latch. There difference is that there are no slots milled out near the buttplate like on all the others. Does anyone happen know whats up with this one?

    Thanks in advance!

For comparison, all the rest have a milled out slot very close to the buttpad like this one below:

Looks to me to be old universal, 53 93 forks but can also be used on Mp5 94 locks up on both guns. I have one and one that is similar with the F style butt pad then later they did one that had cut out so you could use it on 94,93 and mp5 10

It looks to me like it's a home job. If I'm not mistaken, other than full extension, factory lock positions are not all the way through the rail. Just milled out on top.

Not factory. That is a job done by someone after the fact.
