Default HK SP5 Bringing the heat July 2020 USPSA

Huge turnout yesterday (120 shooters) by doing AM/PM squadding and finishing in 3 hours. SP5 was on point and helped me work my way towards the top! Good times coming in a few weeks when John, JD, Chris, and myself will all be squadded together for the Alabama Sectional Championship....come on out and say "hi" if you're in the area!

Nice work Bystock! Any notable difference between the SP5 and SP5K apart from the obvious barrel length if you are using an RDS?

Of course shoot what you enjoy most, but you will be faster and more accurate with a full size SP5 and red dot sight (or any sight). In general, there is more recoil impulse with translates into more sight movement on the K and hence slower speeds when compared to the SP5.

Not to detract from Derek and the lads, but if PCC scores aren't near the top compared to the speed and accuracy differential vis a vis handguns, they're doing it wrong.

They're obviously doing it right. :)

Yes and No.....as you compete more you will learn/see that many match setups actually highly favor Open and Carry Optic Divisions. If you have fast n furious (say short courses of fire) with lots of hard leans, transitions, and weird starts then pistols are highly advantaged especially Open Division where they benefit from major scoring (more points for C & D hits).....in general PCC can be an advantage but it isn't always true when compared to Open and CO (always advantaged compared to those poor Production guys!!! :) )
