The first Glock was an HK, ha!

My husband actually told me he never believed Gaston Glock designed the glock.

I bet if G3Kurz was still with us he could give us an in depth explanation of it.

It's a HK UCP, prototype in 4.6 x 30 mm handgun, same cartridge as the MP7.

Sadly, yes. He is truly missed...:(

Husband's 2 reasons for not believing Mr Gaston is the designer:

    1. He says not plausible a novice to firearm design would produce this design he gives a lot of credit to as being innovative and highly reliable at a time when that was an exceptional thing,

    2. If the company continued to employ or be owned by the designer of the Glock 17, it makes no sense that there has been ZERO innovation from that company since, only variations on the same, now-decades-old tune.

I tend to avoid polished sterile ranges like these. Our very finely tuned range here in Austin,TX is too expensive, odd rules, and I just get the feeling it's for tourists and not real shooters. My wife bought me a gift certificate after telling her how excited I was to have a nice modern range being built. I still have money left on the card after I was treated like an insurgent when I walked in with my MSG90 with mag out and bolt locked back. They confiscated my gun and had to escort me to the rifle lanes. It was such a weird place, I just assume let the remainder of the 40.00$ expire as I have no desire to return . I will return to the grungy gun loving ranges where I feel comfortable and don't have weird rules.

The Range @ Austin Sucks! Keep your modern displays and sales tactics for bachelor parties and hipsters. I know my experience can't be what all experience is, but I had to share. :D. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ombNU2-BYQ

Indoor Trap/Skeet shooting (yes, huge hall), and indoor ranges up to 300m (330yd) plus a HUGE store. What you see there in the Scene with the AR is their AR15 "booth", so not everywhere in Europe "guns are banned" like most americans think. If you want to know more or visit one day, this is the location on google maps: https://www.google.de/maps/@48.43471...!3m1!1e3?hl=en and this is their homepage: https://www.mszu.de/en/ . This shop usually has an extremely good availability on HK guns/Parts and all cutting edge items. The guy in the blue shirt actually works there, he showed me the SP9k literally before it was available.

    - Scene starting 0:50 shows HK main factory, located here: https://www.google.de/maps/@48.29143...!3m1!1e3?hl=en

A voice from the past whispers in my ear, “Brethren, keep your powder dry.”

Austin, Texas vs Southern Germany, two different stories dont ya think. The German Range is a great example on how a range should be to get alot more people involved in the sport, which is desperately needed in Europe. Especially since shooting on private property is practically illegal.

Nope, that's definitively a Glock. For comparison the two known UCP prototypes.

I'm with Lenkers. Look at the slide stop lever and slide lock. That in addition to the slide style it looks very much so like a Glock.

Right, because HK secretly likes shooting Glock so much they want a Glock in their own promo video.
