Thanks Tony! Unlike longer barrels, the 13" bbl makes for a relatively short and maneuverable setup. Moderately sized scope, together with the Slim Line handguard and stock, keep the weight within reasonable limits.

Pretty cool they’re shipping them with the newer AGR! I remember when they released the civilian “Z” model they were shown with the older style Allen key adjustable block that didn’t work with the G28 handguard.

Thanks Lucianus! For several - mostly practical - reasons. First and foremost, since HK MR rifles utilize 15x1 metric muzzle threads, the options (excluding the use of conversion adapters) are rather limited. And since I often hunt with this particular 13" at night - but regrettably can not legally do so with a suppressor - the only device remaining, that I can use to reduce the visible flash, is a flash hider. Then, out of a narrow selection of 15x1 flash hiders available, I like the G28 design most (partially an esthetic consideration). Also, the availability of compatible muzzle caps (which are not readily available for most other designs) is a huge advantage. While barrel obstruction is arguably not a major concern on a square range, it is a serious risk when dragging harvested game, negotiating rough terrain, descending steep and/or slippery slopes, dense vegetation etc.

Err, ROUND LOG (presumably to remind people to update a log of rounds fired in the rifle) and in German "Schusszahl Dokumentieren!" basically saying the same thing: "Record/Document the Shot/round count".

And I will add this comment: The rifle in the G28Z Configuration is even worse than the MR308-G28, the Steel upper is just very heavy and makes the already horribly overweight rifle even heavier.
And the finish is really crude AND the rifle is missing A3 Ambi features. Like seriously WTF.
