My kid shooting some steel offhand @100 yards with my 2015 vintage 762A1. Nice rifle. little heavy but a great shooter and surprisingly accurate even with 147gr ball.

    Is it cerakote or anodized?

May I ask who did it and the markings?

My 417 project is still in parts.

The clear anodizing is more grayish than RAL.

I think I'm going to do cerakote with Engage; have them match my MR223A3 RAL8000 color.

    Hi Folks:

This is my first post, having bought a MR762A1 last month. Took my rifle out for its first spin yesterday yesterday, enjoyed it immensely - shot a few great groups with my new 3.5x ACOG, despite having not shot anything in 25 yrs. Marvels of 21st century small arms technology!

I actually stumbled onto buying the 762: went to the gunstore to look for a decent 5.56mm semi-auto, but almost all semi-autos were flying off the shelves due to the rioting. Except for the MR762A1 - understandable, given the $4500 sticker price. I took it - but owning it now, there is some awe and reverence holding it

Beautiful set up! And welcome to the top of a very steep, slippery, expensive and endlessly fun hill that is owning HK long guns. You definitely started off the right way; having caught the disease a few years ago myself, my MR762 (now G28 clone) is still one of my favorite and most fun firearms I own. This forum is also a wonderful resource for literally and questions you may have or information you might need.

Expensive - yes! Then it was mags, ammo, scope, case, pouches, vest..... on and on (haha). Originally it was all business because of the riots - my wife was spooked and nudged me to arm with whatever I thought I needed. But when I hold it now, it's all sheer pleasure
