MR308-A3-28 factory model tuned up with Spuhr Mount, Minox ZP5 5-25x56 (formerly Premier Reticles Heritage), proper VTAC sling, FAB T-POD Bipod/Grip and some other details. All I need is to pick a trigger, but already as of now the Rifle beats the fielded G28 by a sizeable margin due to the better optics.
I am now at full--- that is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Read my post on the UHL match trigger made in Germany. A better and cheaper option than Geissele. My write up is several pages back in this same thread. I have Geussele triggers and have a lot of time behind match triggers and the UHL is hard to beat. The Geissele is so over prices and over rated.

Yeah, I am actually deciding between Uhl and Burk, Burk is new to the game but a very very very skilled custom AR-10 builder, he builds a rifle that surpasses the MR308 and includes a trigger that is superb, and available to MR308 owners too.

The Burk AR10 is actually the single rifle I would consider superior to the MR308 (and in Germany almost 4k vs 3k EUR for MR308), it has adjustable gas pison, extremely well manufactured everywhere, striker safety like MR's, match trigger AND SR25 mags.

Was at the range today and a local German had a MR308A3 completely decked out "G28'ish", right down to the HK marked S&B scope. It looked and felt very, very sweet. I was satisfied that he was interested enough in my HK243 S TAR. I have the Spuhr mount for my A3 G28 build, but the $$$$ scope is the last piece to complete it. Johnny Cash......one piece at a time

Wanted to show some new things I have been working on assembling for a bit of time. They are still not totally completed but I was too excited Friday after a package arrived from Andre at GGW to not post some pics.

Please welcome my MR762 with Geiselle 762 trigger and a 20' 417 AGB barrel complete with correct 14” 417 HG along with its little bother, a MR762 upper receiver with a 417 12" AGB barrel complete with a new HK G28 V2 HG.

@RegularGuy461969 , have you figured out what the mounting system on the side of the V2 rail is? I know it's not HKey as advertised by GGW. The larger end is toward the back, and the holes are smaller and closer together, so the HKey rail segments won't fit. I don't have any M-Lok or Keymod items, so I'm not sure what fits it.

@nsheers , I have not attempted to fix a HKey rail segment, have you? I understand your observation, but I dont see why HK would create a different size rail segment just for this. But hey, they do some dumb $h1t sometimes. I'm gonna be pretty pissed if the rail segments I purchased from GGW don't work. But they do look different than the ones used on the MRS HG.

Yes, I tried them on the V2. I had been waiting on the rail segments and when I got them, I was surprised that I couldn't get them to work on the V2. They work just fine on the U.S. HKey handguards so that got me to comparing them. I am hoping they are a common commercial size and not some new HKey Jr.

Interestingly, on another thread under the 416/417 forum ("Thoughts on the HKey MRS"), @mr223a1 mentioned (post #4) that the U.S. MRS (modular rail system) is not a true HKey system, but that it is a distinctly different HK USA design. I looked more closely at the G36 and MP5 variants that have come out recently and they, too, appear to have a mounting system akin to the one on the V2, with the larger part of the hole toward the back and the holes closer together. I'll be vary curious to see if your GGW-sourced picatinny segments do in fact fit the V2. I'm pretty sure the segments I've picked up came from HKParts or HK USA as part of a rifle with an MRS rail. Let us know what you find. Thanks.
