I started out with an RGuns Sandmatte RET as a stand in for an HK416A5 RET.
However the A5 RET is different from the "Legacy" 416/MR556 RET, so I am having the original MR556 RET refinished as well.

@Augee , this info is fantastic. You’re research should be cut and pasted into a Sticky thread. The rifle looks fantastic. Should have known CloneDiseased was a part of these. He’s got a beauty as well.
Quick question, is the buffer tube commercial stock (eg UTG buffer tube) or was it anodized with the receivers?

Current status of my 223A3, with a B&T Rotex can mounted to the Birdcage (that is used on all of my guns). Surpressor is certied to be fired to red hot in .308.
Of course when you read the forums here, its a suprise the gun literally didnt self destruct by having a can mounted, let alone being shot frequently. But thats forums, I am happy that the reality is less complicated and it "just works great".![]()
