I added some things....It qualifies to me now as a fighting rifle. All it needs now is a light, and a Trijicon VCOG/mount. I think the Blueforce gear sling, and how I have it on there is the way to go.

If it's an HK I probably want one.

    Baljar,
I noticed the MR223 in 11" has a barrel which is really beyond heavy - it is a heavy-match-bull-barrel. What are your thoughts behind this move? I mean the profile of the barrel is just crazy, it is the diameter of a Flak cannon (almost).

The excessive thickness of the under-the-handguard barrel segment (more precisely the section of the barrel between barrel nut and gas block) is a common feature present in every MR 223 regardless of its total barrel length, be it 11", 14.5" or 16.5". The section of the barrel between gas block and flash hidder is still quite thick judged by ordinary standards, but nevertheless has a thinner profile. It's just that yours, being only 11", doesn't have much barrel in front of the gas block to begin with, which makes it look so fat. However, if you plan to dump a number of mags in a row, say in suppressive fire / "break contact" drills, thick barrel is - generally speaking - a good thing in such scenarios. Anyway, enjoy it!

On a side note, the above remarks on the barrel thickness would probably apply to MR 556, had it been produced in SBR barrel lengths.

You going for the 7.5"/190mm barrel? I have the 12"/300mm and I'm not sure I'd want it any shorter. "Shock and Awe"

    Yup, 196mm Barrel :)
@Andy88 , I think that thick barrel piece is common on all MR, but that said, it gives the rifle alot of stability and helps keeping the temp stable.

that's the reason i'm buying an mr223 a3 - i was gonna spend my money on a kahles scope and a smith and wesson 36 shorty but now with the things going on in the eu (they want to ban 20round magazins for rifles here and many more things) i'm investing my money first in semi-autos - got an arak21 which will hopefully be shipped soon and the mr223 will be the next one in january :D
