In a recent experience with a support forum for some open-source software I came to the realization that information, including the quality and accuracy of, can be incredibly easy to find by following a few simply guidelines. We are all guilty, including myself...

1) If you have a question, browse the forum or use the Search function first.

2) If you have a question and already tried the suggestion above. Try it one more time.

3) If you read a question and know the answer, perhaps consider using the Search function to ensure it has not been asked/answered before. If it has, please link to the existing thread rather than answer the question again.

4) If you read a question that you know has been asked before and you are inclined to respond, please do so with a link to the existing thread.
