I've been seeing some dealers showing up with MR762 rifles in the $3200 to $3400 range & just missed getting a lightly used one for $3k.
Kind of waiting to see what is announced at the shot show as I would really like to have a 20" barrel (if it wasn't hugely more expensive).
Then I'll probably put some S&B glass on it and see what it can do.
Wow i posted something forgot about it for a couple of days and now have the longest running post i have ever made. i guess this deserves me to post the pictures give me a few and i'll get them off my phone =)
The price was actually 6599.99 .... But they have a 90 day layaway program lol. Mind you this place already sells the HK 762 standard model for i think 3899.00 and the HKMR556A1 for 3369.00 so they are high on prices anyway. I would put it at prob 6100 or 6200 on GB when they start coming out with more of them. To be honest I am looking at this set up then looking at my LMT MWS i paid 2299.00 for and my Nightforce 3.5-15x50 F1 MLR 2.0 i paid 2200 for and i am thinking i got a way better set up and saved 2100 bucks which covered the price of my Dbal D2 in green i got new for 1500 and the upgraded UBR stock for 200 and troy flip ups for 200 and the Battle comp for 175. I know this is a HK forum but that's kinda hard to justify buying just for the HK on the side. i mean what does that patrol run 500 to 600 bucks or something and is not even something that should sit on a 3500 dollar plus rifle to be honest .

Never been too excited with the 416/417 series. But FFS, why would HK put a leupold vx-r on a 6-7k gun? At least the ones in germany have high end schmidt and benders or henneys. The least HK USA could have done is put on a Leupold Mk6 3-18. The glass is substantially better, better adjustments, zero stops, bomb proof, Horus reticle, and is worthy of being mounted on an HK. The VX-r is like putting on a NCStar on your factory german mp5. Just wrong.
Do they have them in stock or is this a pre-order price? I didn't think the LRPs were shipping yet.
Just came from my local gun range and low and behold there sat the HK Long Rifle Package. Its one nice looking piece of equipment. Just can't see spending over 6000.00 for one.

I posted the rifle in the rack . I saw two on gb for 400 or so less
I am getting PSG-1 vibes off of this gun, I made the mistake of not buying the PSG-1 when it was semi-affordable in the 90's. I must say I am seriously considering buying one of these and not repeating that mistake!
