    Check with a gunsmith in Canada first, I may be mistaken. Unless importing from US.

    Hi,

    i have MR223a3, 11" inch, M15x1 thread. I want muzzle brake, i tried some, but it looks like it only makes 11" inch MR223 louder, i see no real benefits, maybe little bit muzzle climb is reduced.

    i have tried 3, 2 of them not really tried because look ugly and fit not quite well.

    1st ugly, huge muzzle device, which after install was removed from my beloved MR223 :-) huge diameter, even it works i will not put it on my rifle. I know it sounds silly, but i want to look my rifle good too.

    2nd unusable, very thin, huge gap on the barrel because of profile of the thread barrel, i cant really fit it well.

    3rd, actually fired mostly with this one. A little bit heavy, thick.

    I have got rid of all of them due the esthetic fact or not real improvedment over the OEM flash hider. Maybe i am expecting too much from a muzzle brake on such a short barrel rifle, and thats why i would like to ask you few questions :-)

    I cant find any dealer in EU who has Surefire warcomp M15x1 in stock, i have googled and found some adequate looking muzzle brakes with M15x1 thread.

    - do you have any experiences with this one installed on MR223? I am afraid there will be again gap issue.

    - do you think/know there is some difference between this one and OEM one?

    Thank you for any input in advance
    Tomas

    @thomas_zee

    Every muzzle brake will make 11" loud. No way around it. I use this brake, that originally came in 1/2"x28tpi and my gunsmith re-threaded it to M15x1. Works fine for me (with some other mods I made internally to soften recoil).
