    We all know that :-)

I'm pretty happy with my (gen 2) MPX and MCX, although I will admit that the quality of the finish isn't that good.

Regular force do not need to shoot suppressed, which might be the reason for the lack of AGR.

Ever seen that rear sight before ? Looks like a new adjustable HK-made one.

    Hello guys,

According to various sources, the target increased from 102.000 rifles to 117.000.

Also, the 13e DBLE (A FFL regiment) will be the first to receive them.

Well this article doesn't explain what makes the HK416 superior to his competitors for the French army.
However, it is said that the barrel, which is made in France, represents 30% of the rifle's cost. Interesting.

That statement isn't very specific . It could mean just the material cost of the Rifle ( less furniture ,etc.) .

Well, I am using the MR556A1 for High Power matches. And I do ok with it so far. I'm getting EIC points with it. It IS a match rifle after all and the heavy barrel helps keep the groups consistent.

It's not popular though because everyone wants to be Mark Owen and Travis Haley with the obligatory operator beard included these days.

Just go old school and shoot high power with it. You'll be a better shooter for it.

No issue against the heavy barrel intended for match purposes (even though I would not mind a lighter one), my rant was meant more to the default hypocrisy ruling over our society: guns are bad, so HK "has" to sell products which comply to this mantra. The engraving MR .223 sums it up: Match rifle (hey look: i'm all about sport!!), 223 (hey look: I shoot 223 which is not bad like the 5.56x45).

In addition, as a collector, I would rather have a real deal 416 for the simple fact that it tells a different story compared to the MR (see above). Talking in real life scenarios I'm happy that at least we get to put our hands on the Mr's, which given the current political climate can almost be considered "luck"...
