Wow- I just went back and measured deeper in the rail at a threaded insert- I see what you mean- it's actually a good deal too narrow

The 1.5" section is not concentric to the bore, so it will not be able to cover a suppressor. (RAHG)

Can you post a pic of what you believe shows this? When I compare mine, the bore is dead center of the cylindrical opening of the RAHG.

    Yah sure.

Here you are correct, with some massaging a 1.5" silencer will fit into the rahg.

But it doesn't end up concentric to the barrel nut area.

Just look at the inside of the rahg from the receiver end and you can see.

Awesome shots! I am wondering if there is any manufacturing variation around where the rails meet the barrel nut. I will ask a friend to compare his.

Are your inserts protruding into the rail's interior?

The inserts do go to the inside. The way these threaded inserts work is the metal is displaced to prevent them from unscrewing. If you removed that material they might unscrew.

I just noticed this, but in the original picture, that is an 11" barrel with non-adjustable gas block. Very cool. It seems as though I'm totally in the minority on this forum, but I've never been a big fan of adjustable gas blocks.
@hamster37 It would be awesome if you could share more pictures/info on these. Thanks!
