No malice intended at all. Tuvia.
Oh, I know. The MR is a fine weapon and I hope they come in at a price I can get down with. I'd like to own one.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

    I'm sure everyone does.

And they'll complain how HK screwed them over when the rifle fails to operate because they aren't using the correct ammunition.

Kind of the same reason why Daniel Defense 10.3" military barrels are not the same as the ones they sell commercially.

If we can take a SL8 and turn into a G36 by plastic welding, filling the letters and re-engrave is just a piece of cake.

I believe the emphasis and expectation for US shooters should be the ability to get their hands on proper current spec HK firearms and not OEM'ed rifles that are of obsolete spec as you now have with MR556+762.
While HK would not allow military weapons, i.e. full auto weapons, to be sold due to export restrictions, the latest "A5/A3" specs are available to civilians all over the world, except US and your import ban.
Having that hk416a5 spec'ed mr223a3 with that 11in barrel should be more compelling than the current ugly and functionally questionable "dressed up pigs" you refer to.

Any confirmation that these will be the A3?

Haven't seen anything. Don't get why HK is so cryptic with this sort of thing. Why keep customers in the dark?

They are probably waiting for the socialist Merkel to finish wringing her hands and sign the documents authorizing HK to sell the guns.

Well I'm gonna start saving up my pennies in case this is the A3 coming.

However a part of me is really thinking that this is just another batch as in more MR556A1's since they are just about sold out everywhere...

I have seen no compelling reason to even suggest that the next batch of MR556s with be A3 models.

I think there's a lot of wishful thinking going on here.

True, lots of wishful thinking. that said, I see no reason for HK to continue to manufacture two different lowers? after all, the biggest difference between the MR556A1 and the A3 is the lower. I'll not get into the which magwell is a better design debate, but I will simply state from a manufacturing standpoint it does not make sense to make two different versions of what is essentially the same component. Seems to me it would be a slimmer/trimmer manufacturing process to go all in with the A3.

Again, a generous dose of wishful thinking along with the application of some logic.....
