Will the keep making any more LRP versions. Seems overpriced but can see it being desirable down the road.
So many HKs so little time.

Totally agree--- I am speculating that A1 (MR556/MR762) production has decreased (or will decrease shortly), in anticipation of the A3 variants!!!

My speculation is based on shareholder information!!!

Exactly--- and to fill military contracts!!!

    Is the A3 a 20in barrel only?

Does the MR762 run ok with a can?

    Hawk-
Pick up the 762, get some FGGM 168's out to 5-600yds., 175's past 700 and a good scope and shoot!!! You WON'T be disappointed!!!

Frogman is correct-certainly UNDER 1 MOA rifle. Had one for a few years, never a jam,FTF, etc.

In "Rest of the World" the 7,62 A3 are available in 20, 16.5 and 13 inches. The 5.56 A3 are 16.5, 14.5 and 11 in. Who knows what they will decide for the US market specifc HK made models, but as those are very good "sizes" for the rifles in question, I would presume that, if legislation permits, these would be US available aswell.
I do suppose that the US has a more strict law around short "SBR", which does not exist in say europe, so maybe their priority would be for "non-SBR" first.

Would you speculate that more spare parts/barrels will be available for us folks with legacy (A1 type) rifles?

    Hawk,
I've owned evening from a dpms sass, novrske n6, scar 17s, larue predatobr and the mr762 is the best. I like it so much I have two of them. One is set up as a compact sniper 16.5" and one an ultra compact sniper 14" pinned. They both shoot about.75 moa with fggm. I wouldn't wait for a a3 model, who knows if that will ever be available. HK still needs to deliver 3500+ units to the military. The only real improvement the gun needs is an adjustable gas block. I believe the mr308a3 doesn't even have this feature. The ambi controls are nice, but not necessary. Ambi controls are more beneficial on a carbine, like the 416, in a CQB environment.
