    Default MR762 Overgassed?

    @THRLSEKR

    Damn good question. I guess the SOTs just empty out the prison and let the inmates fly away like the wicked witches monkeys, “fly my pretties, fly!”

    @regularguy THAT......is not only 'timely' but hys-TERICAL !!!! When I was a rookie cop in the 90's, I had a war-torn and battle-hardened Vietnam era Sergeant who would turn out our Platoon with these words: " Listen up you rookie SCUM, I come from a time of Wooden Ships and IRON MEN! If any of you mess with me, then forget Dorothy's house......i'll drop a BUILDING ON YOU!" It was all the more fitting because I worked in midtown NYC so it created quite the mental image!

    Thanks for the laugh(s) and be well.

    I think Drooler’s issue is not when suppressed. With the vented block, made for a 16” barrel, on a chopped to 13” barrel he seems to have the opposite issue, not enough blowback to fully cycle.

    But like you said, I bet the new MR308 13” gas block would fix it all for him.

    Sadly no such HK417 13” vented gas blocks for sale.

    Will reach out to German Gun Worls, but if anybody has any ideas/recommendations, please let me know.

    Will report back once I hear something.

    @Drooler , I just saw this today, thought I’d pass it on, supposed 417 AGBs at RKSUSA.

    Thanks. Will ping them on Monday.

    Sadly, not many folks appreciate the HK417/MR762 assaulted build.

    If only HK will make a 1 in 7 twist HK417/MR762 and in 13”.... that would be freaking awesome...

    Why should HK make a rifle with a twist rate that does not match the calibre and bullets fired?

    Not the expert here so apologies if I got the numbers off.

    Supposedly 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 for the 308 and 13" would be ideal. Versus the current 1 in 11 as the current twist rate is not sufficient.

    I don't want to go into who said what so PM me and I can provide additional context if interested.
