Thats assuming that HKParts is a trustworthy seller. I would not trust them one bit. HKParts slaps any statement on its page to make people buy something or pay a premium for it, when a supposed HK rail is sharp then its suspicious to me, as HK rails are not overly sharp or edgly vs other pica rails.

I think you should consider rereading the @Drooler post in this light. I’ll bet you a set of worn out tools what he said was:

I had the same problem with the HK parts rail. -New But Related Comment- The factory quad felt like a cheese grater.

To clarify, I have NIL experience with the MLok rail sold by HKParts.

For better or worse, my only experience with handguards on the HK416/MR556 are limited to:
    A. OEM HK handguard
    B. Geissele
    C. RAHG

The issue with the OEM HK handguard is that it felt like a cheese grater to me.
    - Maybe because my hands are smooth and beautiful.
    - Sorta like George in Seinfield, I should quit my day job and be a Hand Model. : )

Do those worn out tools make ...you know...like swirl marks and stuff?

No, didn't bother, refund instead. Same for the Hk Parts Mlok rail.

It may be worth mentioning, I believe ALL of the Hk Parts brand rails, regardless of type, have the same unusually sharp machining at the mounting bolt. Even the pic doesn't do it justice. I can't believe it made it past the prototype phase that way.

Aside from some some parts here and there, Todd et al makes the “USA” parts.

Uhhhmmm. I think you missed that one by a long shot. That was an inside joke, referencing HK utilizing "worn out tools" that resulted in a spiraling effect on the inside of HK416 mag wells from a previous thread/argument/discussion. Perhaps I should have thrown in the gauges. Anyway....for future reference.....I'm not into "boutique".....ever.
