    Hi guys,

Do you know when the last batch of MR556's was made in the old factory before moving to Georgia? I was wondering!

I was looking when they started production at the new factory.

I know that HK did a few runs in 2017 at the old factory as well. I'm awaiting a response from HK

So I guess the old MR556's are made in Germany and assembled in Columbus, Ga. and the new ones will be built completely in the Columbus plant?

There are intellectual property rights involved I am not sure about the mr series, but I do know the m27 and 416 are NOT BEING going to be made in the US. That is what I was told.

If HK starts building MR556's in the US will we get the 416 style barrel in 16 inch vs. the heavy MR barrels? I hate to spend 500 plus dollars to have IGF machine my barrel down, have cut to 14.5 and then have it pinned.

BTW what parts are US and what parts are German on the MR556 to comply with 922r?
