Default adjustable gas block on a 10.4 AF?

i am heading to france for a month and change and was going to order an adjustable HK gas block from ZIB while i am there...i was wondering if this will work on my AF HK416 10.4 or will i have to alter it for it to run proper?

i did a google search and the only things that come up with 10.4s are those impossible to find vented gas blocks....but i cant find any mention of an adjustable on a 10.4.

am i good to go suppressed and non suppressed with this?

HK416 verstellbarer Gasblock, leer, inkl. Stellhebel, H&K

It requires a 1.6mm gas port.

    Who, me or him?

I'll also add, even with a 1.6mm gas port, the 1.4mm valve setting (vs 1.6) is still slightly overgassed when suppressed.

This is correct. I found that a 1.5mm port is just about perfect.

i guess that only applies if i get stopped and searched by my friends in customs when i return i guess. it is a gas block...not a barrel, receiver nor even an auto sear. it is a very small item that many eyes are oblivious to.

i guess since it is made by HK i can put it in a sock and beat people to death with it...but i can do the same with a roll of quarters.

i did a bit of reading and an alternative solution some have been doing to preserve their HK416 is using one of those SUREFIRE H9 buffers which weigh 9 ounces. would that be a better alternative compared to the AGB if i do not want to alter my rifle?

I ordered the 10" gas block from ZIB in March (HK416 Gasblock, 10.4", H&K) and expected to get the closed one as shown in the picture. Instead, I got the vented gas block (with 10" marking). I asked ZIB, if I could get the closed one and the reply was "Sorry, we just have the vented one at the moment".
