Yes, there are lots of people see through Sig's BS and know what they actually are/are not. In the grand scheme, the people that can actually articulate the actual technical deficiencies of the designs represents a fraction of a percent of the actual gun-buying market.

If you look at it from a business model perspective, the Cohen model of cutting corners and volume actually make money. It's a business...the point of business is to make money. PERIOD

Cheap guns and great marketing is how you win at the game.

If you want to be Hi-Point. Sig used to be a premium brand. Now, they are a bit of a joke.

The answer is simple to get a different version of MR556. Get your FFL and then place an order for 1,000 guns cash up front. Then I'm sure H&K would make what ever you want. I would, but I'm short about $250k free cash from being able to do that.

Nothing petitions change faster than cash. Look at all the different models H&K will make for .gov sales.
    Ted Nugent on deer hunting.

He was being interviewed by a British journalist. The journalist asked,"What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, `Are you my friend? Or is it, Are you the one who killed my brother?'"

Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away.' They are very much like the French in that way

Heck, even Canada has the latest HK guns.
I could be wrong, but now that HK has the ability to produce any updated variant of the MR rifles domestically (at GA plant) it seems like this decision is solely HK now.

You are a bit wrong. They also must procure "permission" from the mothership in Germany. Sort of like a license. Ability does not equal green light.

It’s more formality, no? Look at HK France. It would be nice that we finally get an upgrade on the MR556.

One would think it is just a formality. But it is much more than that. Think bureaucracy and politics.

HK France does not produce anything, they just pick items off the normal parts rack.

Like I originally said, stop buying the MR556A1 and maybe HK will listen.
