@ Superstar you ask "How difficult is it to acquire a firearm in Germany?"

So see we in Germany we did not have a Second Amendment. We didn`t have the NRA.
In Germany you have some major requirements

    @ 1 Reliability
    @ 2 Individual responsibility
    @ 3 General knowledge
    @ 4 Requirement

1 You will be check`t out by the security authorities
2 you need a police certificate
3 you need General knowledge about weapons, weapons law, ammo, etc
4 you need to be a member in an approved shooting association for least one year
before you can request Weappons licence or must have made your hunting licence

And then as they allow to buy a weapon. As a member in an approved shooting association
I can get 2 Semi auto Rifel`S and 2 Side arms. After al that I can`T carry my weappon I
have to "transport" it. That means I have to carry it in a lockt case Unloaded. The ammo
    in 2nd lockt Case.

So it is not so easy for us, as may be in the US.
How difficult is it to acquire a firearm in USA??

Hello, i am also from Germany Uwe

a little bit wrong, For the first time you can have 2 Handguns and 3 Semi Automatic Rifles, a lot of Pump Action Rifles and a unlimited quantity of Bolt Action or Lever Action Rifles. If you want more Handguns and Semi Automatic Rifles you have to prove to the authority that you are participate in competitions.
And you can put your Ammo and Loaded Magazines with the Guns in one Bag but it is forbidden to put loades Magazines in your Guns on the Way to the Range. And the Saddest thing, you can own High Capacity Magazines For Long Guns but it is only allowed to use Magazines that are limited down to 10 Rounds for use with the Rifle.

    Greetings Lukas

    Hello Lukas,

thats a very sport shooter look at things.
As a Hunter you can have as many rifles as you want, semi or not, or use more than 10 rounds of magazines.

    Hallo @ Lukas ,
    Hello @ all,

Lukas you are absolut right. But in the first year only 2 weapons AFAIK.
And the it depends @ 4 Requirement. When your approved shooting association hasen`t
a Lever Action Rifles disciplin you can`t get one as I said it a all depends on the Requirement.

    @ Lukas you wrote
"As a Hunter you can have as many rifles as you want, semi or not, or use more than 10 rounds of magazines."
its absolut correct but I `m not a Hunter. And whe did they allowd im Deutschen Jagdrecht More than 3 rounds

    Greetings
    Uwe

Its fairly simple. Hunting law only specifies the usage when shooting game. Quoting §19 1.2.c "c) mit halbautomatischen Langwaffen, die mit insgesamt mehr als drei Patronen geladen sind, sowie mit automatischen Waffen auf Wild zu schießen". Notice "auf Wild" limiting the relevance of this rule only for actual shots on game, not shooting on a range or practice or fun shooting.

Hence as Hunter you can take your 11inch AR with a surpressor and 100 round drum and go plinking no worries.
